Addition to Meet the Vision for the Future

The Chamblee Charter High School current campus consist of one main building located on 20.71 acres at 3688 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road in Chamblee, Georgia. The original campus construction was completed in 2014, and there have been no additions. The current size is approximately 279,500 SF. The campus contains a practice field, baseball field, softball field, and tennis courts. The project consists of the A/E services for a classroom addition, building modifications and turf installation to meet the DCSD 2020 VISION ‐ Educational Specifications and Design Guidelines. The project scope includes the design of a building addition, with accompanying modifications to the school’s core areas – media center, kitchen and cafeteria – to handle increased occupancy. A net addition of 30 Instructional units is required. Accompanying parking area additions, possibly requiring a parking garage, are also included in this scope. A preliminary site study recommended a three-story, 40,800 square foot addition located between the current classroom wing and the auditorium. The scope of this project also includes design for the installation of synthetic turf at the football practice field.

The project is currently under design.
